Technical overview
The elastic support supporting the upper structure of the bridge is composed of laminated reinforcement steel plates and rubber sheets, and is the most commonly used bridge seating device as a support that accepts vertical loads and shear deformation through the elastic resistance of rubber.

The rubber layer reinforces one or more steel plates inside to suppress swelling during compression deformation.
